The firm is built on three pillars:

ARCHITECTS: with two master of architecture degrees, multiple state registrations and over 50 years of combined experience in the profession, Kristin and Matt have a steely grasp of the requirements of code compliant design, tight construction documents and specifications as well as knowledge of construction and delivery systems. First and foremost we provide our clients with sound, balanced solutions for their design needs.

ARTISTS: Kristin is an award winning landscape painter who is an active part of the arts communities on Boston's North Shore and Long Island's North Fork. Matt has an inventive oeuvre of sculpture and three-dimensional work, mainly in steel. Artists are inventers and interpreters. We approach our design work in this mode and filter the results through the needs of our clients and exigencies of codes and construction.

NEIGHBORS: We are active members of many communities: the business community, the creative community, the residential communities where we live and the communities of our individual passions (for Matt it's the cycling community - for Kristin it's the equestrian community). These are vital connections for us and help define how we practice at Fishbrook Design Studio. By being active members of these communities our design work is suffused with ideas from many avenues. We understand problems and solutions differently when we look at them through the eyes of others.
