In 1842 Charles Dickens declared Boston was the only worthy city he visited in his entire four month tour of the United States. It is a thrill to work in and around so many of the urban features that Dickens saw during that trip. It is vital to keep in mind just how young our American cities are. As architects, we must build in a way that creates new history and marks our time in stone and glass.
