This is a 1,300 square foot full floor apartment unit. Using a series of seven foot high walls (the beams of the ceiling are ten feet above the floor) we screened the utility elements of the program from the Living Area. The Kitchen, Bathroom,Closet and Mechanical Room are pushed to the perimeter by screen walls. The walls are finished in painted gypsum board at the Living Area and contain book shelves on the side that faces the exterior. The Bedroom is also located at the perimeter, but in a privileged position at the front of the building where tall windows overlook the West End neighborhood below Beacon Hill.
