As designer, Matthew's work focused on developing the form and exterior cladding of this new Gymnasium/Cafeteria wing. The form is a re presentation of one wing of the adjacent 1920s school building.

Elements of the adjacent portal (parapet, columns, massing and configuration) are isolated and redeployed in proportions and materials that reflect the school's needs and current construction technology.
